What can I expect at Boot Camp each day?

A warm-up for 5 to 10-minutes, 40 to 50-minutes of activities, and 5 to 10-minutes of cool down. A variety of methods will be used to provde the best opportunity for you to reach your goals. It includes plyometrics, calisthenics, strength training, yoga, dance, step aerobics, kickboxing, running/jogging, interval and circuit training, and more.

What type of equipment will we use?

I’ll keep you guessing! No machines, but you will use resistance bands, agility cones and ladders, weights, jump ropes, and much more!

Will we lift weights?

Yes, some, but don’t worry, you will not get bulky!

Who can/should attend?

Boot Camp is designed for all fitness levels. You don’t have to be “in shape” to start.

Will I be sore?

That depends on how hard you work and how often you attend. It is common to experience soreness in the beginning, but it is reduced with increased activity.

What do I wear?

Whatever is comfortable and allows for a full range of movement. Running and jumping are part of our activities, so a supportive sports bra is recommended. Cross-training shoes are also recommended.

What do I need to bring?

Water, a towel, and the Force to meet your goals!

How soon will I see results?
That depends on how hard you work and how committed you are inside and outside of camp. Everyone is different, but you may see results in as little as two weeks.  Attending 5 days a week will increase your results.

Should I eat before a workout?
This is subjective. However, do not arrive with an empty stomach, and do not arrive with a full stomach. A small, light breakfast at least 30 minutes before the start of your workout may be sufficient. Listen to your body to learn what’s best for you. At the very least, come hydrated.

 How do I sign-up?
It's easy! Register online to reserve your spot and complete the online Health Questionnaire. Send payment, and then complete the waivers; which can be done the first day of camp. You can also mail-in your paperwork.

Can I bring a friend?
Yes, you can! This freebie is limited, but each friend can attend one day. If they would like to come more often without committing to a full camp, "Cardio Force" week is the perfect time for them. (View the calendar for dates.)

Do I have to sign the waiver/forms before I participate?
Yes! The forms must be completed.

Can I pay in installments?
No. Payment must be made in full with registration. If you're registering for more than three camps, payment can made separate to each camp.

What is the refund policy?
There is a No Refunds policy. However, if you are unable to attend a camp due to strong circumstances beyond your control such as a medical reason, you have the option to select a different camp or personal training sessions.

What if I sign up for 3-day a week and then want to change to 5-days a week?
Just pay the pro-rated difference.

What should I do if I have an injury?
If you are injured, see your doctor for clearance.  I am not able to diagnose or treat injuries. If you sustain an injury during camp, please let me know immediately.

What if I can’t perform a certain exercise?
No worries! You will get a modified or alternate exercise.

What if I’m late?

Come anyway! Enter quietly, warm-up, and join in. A shortened workout is better than no workout. (But, don’t let being late become a habit!)

Can I make up a day?
Yes! There is “Cardio Force” week during which you can make up missed days and/or days missed due to holidays.

What is the Pre- and Post-Camp Evaluation? Do I have to?
With the evaluation I will review your goals and expectations with you. Several body measurements will be taken (chest, waist, and hip, for example). This is not for a body fat estimate, but for a benchmark to help you track your progress. (Don’t worry; your information will be kept confidential!) This is a complimentary, yet optional, service.

Is there a deadline to register for Boot Camp?
Yes (sort of); deadline is 7pm the Sunday before the next camp begins.  This gives me time to review your information, and make any changes (if necessary) to the week’s training program and equipment. However.....

If someone wants to join after a camp has started, do they have to wait until the next camp?
No and yes. The camp cost will be pro-rated.  BUT.... late registration is limited to the first week of camp. Anytime after that and you must wait until the next camp.

Why is there a week between each Boot Camp?
This is a chance for your body to recover.  You are still expected to stay active on your own, but do so at a reduced duration and/or intensity level. This helps to keep you on track to reach your goals. The break also allows time for me to take certification exams, take workshops, design workouts, etc. in order to provide the best and most effective program for you.

Is childcare provided?
Not at this time. You must make arrangements for your child(dren).

If at any time a boot camp has fewer than 3 people registered, I have the option to cancel that boot camp. At that time, you have the choice to choose an alternate camp time, or camp session.
